Brent Knapton has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry managing projects, leading large resource teams and innovating tools and systems to increase efficiency and productivity. He holds a patent entitled “Energy Recovery from Waste Heat Sources” and has managed diverse technical teams in the roles of Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer. He also directed the efforts of a non-profit organization drilling water wells, building orphanage and educational facilities as well as medical clinics in several 3rd world countries.
Brent earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University where he also completed courses to earn a degree in Religious Studies. Brent has been a member of Construction Industry Institute’s research team on managing project complexity, attended CII leadership training at UT’s McCombs School of Business and was designated a future leader by the Engineering and Construction Contracting association. Brent has also served as marketing liaison for the Rice Global Forum.
